Biographies

Aracelli Gonzalez is a Physical Therapist who earned her degree in Uruguay in 1987. Aracelli was practicing in New York when she decided to take a course in Myofascial Release with John Barnes, P.T. She realized that she wanted to incorporate this modality as well as Reiki into her physical therapy treatments.

Michael Boals is a Physical Therapist Assistant and Reiki Master Teacher. Michael took a Reiki I class in 1990 and it had a powerful and profound effect upon him. His life took on a new direction. He was studying meditation yoga and he found that Reiki enhanced his practice. He became a Reiki Master in 1996 and started teaching. Michael earned his Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 2001. He approaches the practice of Physical Therapy by incorporating warmth and humor into the presentation of relaxation and body- mind integration skills.

Aracelli and Michael have been working in the physical therapy field for the last 24 years. They have worked in private practice, outpatient clinics, hospitals and skilled nursing facilities (short and long term rehabilitation). They created Southwest Physical Therapy in response to their growing frustration over the increase in paperwork and patient load, which resulted in a decrease in treatment time for the individual patient. They have learned that to be effective therapists they have to treat their clients with compassion and understanding. By increasing their clients self- confidence and by partnering with them on all levels of understanding, their clients are empowered to heal and to maintain a level of optimum health.
