Connecting the Dots

Do you remember connecting the dots when you were a kid?

When you opened the book all that you saw were dots…nothing made sense . You searched for the number one dot and connected it to the number two dot. Your excitement  grew as you watched a picture take shape. You couldn’t wait to get to the next dot and before you knew it, you were looking at something you hadn’t expected to see.

This is like the process of Myofascial Release. You come to us with a mysterious nagging physical pain. The MRI and X-ray results came back negative and the doctors say they didn’t see anything. You can’t make sense out of it because you still feel the pain.

Your mysterious pain is your body trying to tell you that something else is going on. Your body is a network of intelligent connective tissue or fascia, that records all physical and emotional trauma.

The Myofascial Release therapist discovers other factors that are contributing to your physical pain: unconscious emotions, fears, anxieties, stress and tensions, that have been trapped and buried in your fascia and building up in your body for years.

During a series of treatments, you connect with these seemingly unrelated restrictions that lie hidden in different parts of your body.  As you feel and understand them, you release them and a transformation occurs… as the restrictions are released, you become more present in your life and are more likely to make conscious life choices that will  benefit you.

 Your life is the sum of all the choices you make, both consciously and unconsciously. If you can control the process of choosing, you can take control of all aspects of your life. You can find the freedom that comes from being in charge of yourself. -Robert F. Bennett
