Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

Fascial restrictions in the pelvic area can cause pain and dysfunction locally as well as in other parts of the body like neck, head, and shoulders.

Many times fascia adheres to the bladder and urethra creating an environment for infection since fascial restrictions impede the proper elimination of toxins and waste products from the cells. When the fascia tightens around the bladder, it limits its capacity to enlarge, causing the need to urinate frequently and painfully. Tightness of the fascia around the ovaries and uterus can cause endometriosis and menstrual pain.
