There can be common reasons for back pain
One of the most common medical problems here in the US is back pain. Risk factors include: heredity, age, job/hobby/sport-related risk factors, fitness level, and weight gain. Changes to the spine that are age-related and degenerative can cause it to develop slowly – or an accident, such as a fall or improperly lifting something heavy, can sometimes make it come suddenly. Back pain can also be caused by other medical conditions in some cases or by inflammatory disorders. The pain can become chronic and range from a sudden, sharp pain to a constant, dull ache.

Myofascial Release Therapy
Back pain can be suffered by anyone but your risk is increased by the factors. Your body is supported by the workings of the many different structures in the anatomy of your back. Back pain will appear if any one of these structures has problems. The spine has four regions: Sacrum and Coccyx, Lumbar spine, Thoracic spine, and Cervical spine. Parts of the back and spine include: Muscles, Tendons, Intervertebral discs, Spinal cord, Ligaments, and Vertebrae. The three types of back pain are: Chronic back pain, Subacute back pain, and acute back pain.

Our Consultation With You The Patient
We offer you a FREE 15-minute phone consultation. But it is when you come to our Brooklyn clinic in person that we can evaluate you hands-on to identify if restrictions in your fascia are causing your chronic back pain and if you’re a prime candidate for myofascial release therapy.

Diagnosis of Your Pain
Once we evaluate and identify the cause and severity of your chronic back pain, we determine whether myofascial release therapy will provide great results for your particular condition and circumstances. We individualize your number of sessions of one-on-one, hands-on treatment.

The Start of Your Treatment
Once you’re ready, we start you on your treatment right away. To anyone, it appears as if you’re receiving a massage yet it’s completely different. Sustained manual pressure is used to release the restrictions from your fascia so it and your body can go back to normal health.
We Proudly Provide Quality Treatment With Results
If your chronic back pain is caused by restrictions in your fascia, you will either improve greatly or heal completely if you undergo the number of treatment sessions of myofascial release therapy that your therapist prescribes for your particular condition.

You have to be patient, as with MFR you don’t get the heavy pressure you expect with traditional massage. Initially it feels like there is no effect, but after my third treatment I felt that finally what seemed like a solid wooden set of muscles started getting a range of motion. Any other massage lasted for a day for me, but this treatment felt more lasting and gives me hope that my problem could be solved for good.
